Happy Friday everyone! What a lovely day it has been today. It’s been lovely to see you in and around the club and we are excited about the weekend ahead!

In this week’s round-up newsletter we have info on the upcoming kids summer camp, updates regarding the sports complex, lodge and kids classes as well as some upcoming events.

Summer Camp Info.


The countdown is on for the beginning of camp!

Our camp leaders and assistants have been in doing their training and are finalising the itinerary and trips. They are looking forward to seeing our younger members and having an action packed summer! There are currently still spaces available for weeks 6 & 7. Contact reception to book to avoid disappointment by calling 01224 734747


Don’t forget to join our Kippie.life groups to keep up to date on all things Kids Camp including menus, day trips and suncream and arm bands!

We are planning on making this year a bumper year for the kids as they all deserve it.

Before the fun begins we do have some paperwork to go through to ensure the safety of your child. Firstly, we strongly encourage you to join in with the group on kippie.life. There is a short video below on how you can do this.

There are 7 groups on kippie.life – one for every week of summer camp. You join the group of the week your child is attending. If you do not have a kippie.life account please contact support@kippie.life. We will be using these groups for all your correspondence such as menus, essential items to take etc. You can also communicate with other parents who are also in that week group. During the camp we will be sharing pictures with you of all of the fun the kids will be having. (Parental approval). Please make sure you have returned your consent form to us no later than 2 weeks prior to your child attending. Your child will not be able to attend the camp without this being completed. If you need to cancel your booking for any reason you must allow 4 weeks’ notice to receive a full refund. So, let’s make this year one to remember (for the right reasons) and bring on Summer 2021!!

Unfortunately, we have been experiencing many walk-ins at the Lodge. Due to COVID guidelines, you must pre-book your table prior to visiting the club. This includes the marquee for coffees and breakfast. You can call us on 01224 739901.


Updates


New adults class timetable starts on Monday 28th June.
Please make sure you check Kippie.life as we have added new classes based on member feedback. The next 7 weeks will be a trial period for these classes and other changes so if you have any class suggestions or feedback please email lornacruickshank@kippielodge.co.uk.


Sports Complex

Sauna and Steam Room
Under government guidelines we must be able to track & trace all members using facilities this includes sauna and steam room. Members are therefore required to provide us with your name and time you used these facilities.
Please see lifeguard for more information

No Shows
In the unfortunate event you are unable to attend, please ensure you cancel your class or activity so it is available for another member to book. To date in June, we have had no shows of 10% of gym and 6% of pool bookings.
You can cancel your bookings online via Your Account History, by calling Reception on 01224 734747 or texting 07398462356.

Started his journey in 2017 as a lifeguard. Over the years Scott progressed in to different disciplines including Les mills; RPM, Pump, Combat & Attack as well as Bootcamp and youth gym.

Mitchell Robb

ABS and Youth Activities

Mitch is 19 years old and recently passed his level 2 in sports coaching at college. Big Congrats to Him!
He is also currently studying for his Level 6 in Sports, Exercise and Science

Join him for Abs classes on a Monday night from 6pm to 6:30pm.
If your kids are budding Badminton players they can join Mitch between 2pm - 3pm in Studio 1.

WENDY GRAY

Aches & Pains Aqua

A fun session sprinkled with movement science. Exercising in a pool provides relief with pain and stiffness in the joints.

It is a great class if you are recovering from surgery or got arthritis.

You will be working at your own ability but quickly will see progression as the weeks progress.

The class takes place each week on Thursdays at 13.50 (1.50pm).

Go on, head to the pool and give it a try!

Latfiya has been covering fitness classes throughout Aberdeen since 2015 and we are delighted that she is taking four classes here at Kippie.

"I am super excited to be joining the Kippie team. My love for fitness has made me expand my training skills to include the latest techniques including Pilates and Power Pilates with which I am certified to work with. My workouts are all about precise and controlled movements while maintaining proper alignment. If you have never attended a strength or kettlebell class please do not feel you cant take part."

"Despite on the skill or difficulty level of any class I teach it will be suitable for every level as there are modifications always available,  just like every instructor I work with the client’s needs, to encourage them and always include.I provide options whether you are a pure beginner or advanced."
