New Fitness Classes

Now that the kid’s summer holidays are over, our fitness schedule will be changing on Monday 16th August.

We have some exciting new classes beginning next week!

Yin Yoga, Monday with Elaine Studio 2 at 18.15pm

Yin Yoga poses tend to be floor-based and aim to relax the muscles to allow target stress to the joint capsule, thus over time subtly increasing flexibility. It can be challenging to the mind as well as the body as the shapes are held for several minutes, but well worth it! I also incorporate Traditional Chinese Medicine meridian theory, acupressure and myofascial release techniques to enhance the benefits of the practice, balancing and harmonising the body’s energy flow and eliminating muscular tension.

Yin is a cooler practice and a great compliment to more active sports or yoga practices.  Wear appropriate layers of clothing and bring a blanket/large towel if possible.  If you have yoga blocks, strap or bolster these are useful to bring to class but not necessary. 

Aqua: Aches & Pains Thursday at 13.50pm with Wendy

Identifying imbalances in the body, while facilitating easier movement through rehabilitation as well as injury prevention/management for any pre-existing conditions while supported in the water. 

Vinyasa Yoga restarting Tuesday with Amanda J at 18.30hrs

Gym Circuits now available on Wednesday at 12.30pm with Daniel

Pilates (All levels) on Wednesday with Michelle at 18.15pm in Studio 2 and Online

Pilates in motions returns on Thursday’s at 12noon with Pamela online

BODYCOMBAT Thursday at 19.45pm with Scott

RPM, Sunday, in Studio 1 with Scott

Thursday- Body Balance, 11.30am and Strength HIIT Core at 18.45pm with Michelle

Thursday- Spin with Olga at 17.45pm

Friday- Bootcamp, 11am with Lutfiya

If you haven’t sampled any of these classes these videos give you a taster of whats on offer.

We would like to thank every little one who attended our summer activities whether it was tennis, golf or camp. All the camp leaders have thoroughly enjoyed their 7 weeks of fun.

If your child attended summer camp, you will have received a short survey via email. Please check your junk or spam folder if it hasn’t arrived in your inbox. We would appreciate all your feedback to help us plan for next year!

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our Kippie Kids Camp team. They have all worked so hard this year to make the kids summer extra special.

We’ve had a fantastic 7 weeks of Summer at Kippie Kids Camp. Every week we’ve included something that we hope has been incredibly memorable for the children, whether that be the swimming, the trip, the games they’ve played, the friends they’ve made or even the bouncy castle! We would like to thank the 86 families (117 children) that have booked places and joined us for our camp! We’ve all had a fantastic time and we can’t wait for you to join us again next year! Sports Complex

Are you looking for a new sport to play? Well, we have a suggestion for you – squash!!

If you’ve already decided on giving squash a try, we’d love for you to consider joining one of our open evenings – Monday 23rd August from 6pm – 8pm or Tuesday 31st August 6pm – 8pm. We welcome players of all skill levels – from beginners to advanced to come along. We are hoping to start some mini-leagues within the club to start over the autumn and winter months.

So, we hope to see you at one of our drop-in sessions – no need to book. In the meantime, please join the squash group where you can contact fellow squash players and be kept up to date with breaking news!

Physio Pilates

Physio Pilates is a powerful rehabilitation and body conditioning programme combining the extensive understanding of body biomechanics from the Physiotherapy discipline with the popular exercise routine of Pilates. These classes are particularly beneficial if you have aches and pains.

We are delighted to announce that we have spaces remaining in the following Physio Pilates classes.

ABS and Youth Activities

Mitch is 19 years old and recently passed his level 2 in sports coaching at college. Big Congrats to Him!
He is also currently studying for his Level 6 in Sports, Exercise and Science

Join him for Abs classes on a Monday night from 6pm to 6:30pm.
If your kids are budding Badminton players they can join Mitch between 2pm - 3pm in Studio 1.

Aches & Pains Aqua

A fun session sprinkled with movement science. Exercising in a pool provides relief with pain and stiffness in the joints.

It is a great class if you are recovering from surgery or got arthritis.

You will be working at your own ability but quickly will see progression as the weeks progress.

The class takes place each week on Thursdays at 13.50 (1.50pm).

LutFIYA Saitbayeva

Latfiya has been covering fitness classes throughout Aberdeen since 2015 and we are delighted that she is taking four classes here at Kippie.

"I am super excited to be joining the Kippie team. My love for fitness has made me expand my training skills to include the latest techniques including Pilates and Power Pilates with which I am certified to work with. My workouts are all about precise and controlled movements while maintaining proper alignment. If you have never attended a strength or kettlebell class please do not feel you cant take part."

"Despite on the skill or difficulty level of any class I teach it will be suitable for every level as there are modifications always available,  just like every instructor I work with the client’s needs, to encourage them and always include.I provide options whether you are a pure beginner or advanced."
