It’s great to see you all back at the Club.  We are getting ready to reopen our fitness studios safely on the 17th May.
Once our studios reopen we will be removing our larger marquee on the lawn and transferring our patio furniture to our marquee on the patio for the next few months.  This will give us covered outside dining for our unpredictable summer months. 

Our new menu has proved a big hit.  If you haven’t dined at the Lodge so far why not book a table for this weekend for a treat.  We have Friday and Saturday specials available too!  Call and book your table 01224 739901.

Our next newsletter will be sent via our members site  This will give us a fresh new look and keep all kippie information in one location.

Lodge News

The countdown is now on……we will be opening our doors at 9 am on Monday morning for coffees, home bakes, breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Please note, you MUST pre-book your table by calling 01224 739901 and remember to check-in using the Virtual Checkin QR code upon arrival.

Sanitising stations are situated around the Lodge and when walking to and from your table you must wear your face covering.

So, back to the exciting bit – we will be launching our new all-day menu from 12 noon on Monday.  For a sneaky peek hit the button below…

We can’t wait to see you all back and in the next few months, we will be hosting events for all the family so watch this space.


It’s exciting to see our swimming sessions booking up for next week.  If you are struggling to link your family members on the booking site give us a call and we can talk you through it. 01224 734747.  Please note, swimming bookings are under ‘classes’.  

Available sessions are as follows:
Adult Swim – no under 16 years
Open Swim –  any age with swim lane available
Family Swim – all ages no lane available

Be Kind to the Course

  • Keep trolleys and bags away from greens. 

The wheels on trolleys and the weight of golf bags can damage these sensitive areas.

  • Repair your divots. 
  • Repair your ball marks on the green. 
  • Always rake bunkers after hitting to erase your footprints.

Players who are found to breach these rules will be reported to the committee and action may be taken.



As you are aware our Creche has remained closed since lockdown.  Unfortunately, at the start of this year Stacey, our Creche manager has left Kippie to go onto pastures new.  So, we are in the process of reviewing our childcare at Kippie.  Moving forward we would like to introduce new sessions including a playgroup, messy play or dance/movement session.  We are reviewing all options.  If you have any suggestions and would like to share them with us please contact Sports & Wellbeing Manager Lorna Cruickshank at

Sports Complex

Reminder for our learn to swim members – if you have still yet to confirm your space for the next block of lessons please do so asap.  We will be contacting members on the waiting list as of next week.


As you are aware we currently close our gym for 15 minutes at the end of each session for our staff to clean and sanitise each piece of equipment.  However, this takes up precious gym slots.  So, to increase capacity, we will be removing these 15-minute closures in the near future.  This of course does not stop our staff from cleaning throughout the day.  We do request that you clean and sanitise each piece of equipment after use for the safety of your fellow members and staff.  Thank you.

PARQ 2021

Keep a look out next week for our Parqu questionnaire which will be posted on  It is essential that you complete this form for our records. 
The Parqu is a simple self-screening tool that is used to determine the safety or possible risks of exercising based on your health history, current symptoms, and risk factors.  The questionnaire is short and easy to administer.  We would appreciate you completing this form at your earliest convenience. 

Important Information: Virtual Check-in

Now that members are returning to the Club can we emphasise that it is imperative that your check-in and out using our QR codes located at each facility. If you are struggling with this system and it keeps asking you to confirm by email then your browser may be set to private.  To remember your details this must be turned off – see picture below.

It is also important that you check-out after leaving your activity.  Failing to do so may result in us contacting you unnecessarily if we have a positive covid case at the Club.

Fitness Classes

As the date of reopening our studios is drawing closer we would like to hear how you feel about returning to onsite, indoor fitness classes.  Do you have particular concerns or queries you may wish to discuss with us?
We have created a short poll via Facebook and would appreciate your participation.

We have received positive feedback from members who have taken part in our onsite fitness classes. 
It won’t be long until we can reopen our fitness studios – May 17th (subject to government guidance).  All classes must be prebooked on our bookings page.

Please be aware that children’s fitness classes will be in our studios however adults onsite classes remain outdoors at this time.

Fitness Schedule

Due to our new member’s platform, there is now no requirement for us to share Zoom codes which makes it far easier to take part in your favourite classes.

Click on the class you wish to join and it will direct you to Zoom.  You will only need the password which is KLife


Guests are welcome at the Club at any time to use the gym, golf and tennis however at this time guests will only be permitted Monday – Friday and not at weekends.  To book a guest into the Club please call Reception to book their session.

Now that we are getting closer to us reopening indoors can we remind members that it is imperative that on every visit that you scan the QR code located in each area of the club.  If you have not yet registered with our Virtual Checkin then please do so prior to your visit.  Please watch the short video above to remind yourself on how the system works.

Please be aware, if you have recently updated your IPhone (Apple) then you may have to re-register for Virtual Check in.

ABS and Youth Activities

Mitch is 19 years old and recently passed his level 2 in sports coaching at college. Big Congrats to Him!
He is also currently studying for his Level 6 in Sports, Exercise and Science

Join him for Abs classes on a Monday night from 6pm to 6:30pm.
If your kids are budding Badminton players they can join Mitch between 2pm - 3pm in Studio 1.

Aches & Pains Aqua

A fun session sprinkled with movement science. Exercising in a pool provides relief with pain and stiffness in the joints.

It is a great class if you are recovering from surgery or got arthritis.

You will be working at your own ability but quickly will see progression as the weeks progress.

The class takes place each week on Thursdays at 13.50 (1.50pm).

Go on, head to the pool and give it a try!

Latfiya has been covering fitness classes throughout Aberdeen since 2015 and we are delighted that she is taking four classes here at Kippie.

"I am super excited to be joining the Kippie team. My love for fitness has made me expand my training skills to include the latest techniques including Pilates and Power Pilates with which I am certified to work with. My workouts are all about precise and controlled movements while maintaining proper alignment. If you have never attended a strength or kettlebell class please do not feel you cant take part."

"Despite on the skill or difficulty level of any class I teach it will be suitable for every level as there are modifications always available,  just like every instructor I work with the client’s needs, to encourage them and always include.I provide options whether you are a pure beginner or advanced."
