The Sunrise Swimmers

Give it a go!

A group of brave members have set up a new Kippie group – the Sunrise Swimmers! Having started meeting at Aberdeen beach every morning for 10 days to raise money for charity our group of members and their families decided to continue with their weekly dunk! They are now on the lookout for new members to join them. ‘Its invigorating and certainly sets you up for the day’ says David Ross. ‘Come along and try it for one week – you won’t be disappointed’.

Fancy giving it a go? Join them every Saturday morning at 6.15am. They meet at Kippie then convoy out to Stonehaven. All ages welcome!

Many Congratulations!

We are all extremley proud of Kippie’s Ladies Golf Assoc member Jo McCloskey for winning The Ladies Scottish Medals Final North at Pitlochry earlier this week.

Article taken from Scottish Golf Website

The women’s competition was won by Joanne McCloskey from Kippie Lodge Sports & Country Club who returned a one under par net 71 to finish two shots ahead of Hazel Dean (Muthill). Lynne Tough (Kemnay) and Morag Wardrop finished tied for third place on two over par 74 while Caroline Reid (Hopeman) and Janette Kennedy (Blair Atholl) also qualified for places in the Grand Final after sharing fifth place one shot further back.

McCloskey dropped two shots to par at the ninth to go out in net one over par 37 but came home in 34 with the help of a two-putt net eagle on the 352-yard par five 13th hole.

I’m pretty chuffed,” she said. “I’ve loved Pitlochry. We’ve been there a couple of times for away weekends and have always enjoyed it. It’s a lovely place. The scenery is incredible.

Way to go Jo!!

Aches & Pains Aqua

A fun session sprinkled with movement science. Exercising in a pool provides relief with pain and stiffness in the joints.

It is a great class if you are recovering from surgery or got arthritis.

You will be working at your own ability but quickly will see progression as the weeks progress.

The class takes place each week on Thursdays at 13.50 (1.50pm).

Go on, head to the pool and give it a try!

Latfiya has been covering fitness classes throughout Aberdeen since 2015 and we are delighted that she is taking four classes here at Kippie.

"I am super excited to be joining the Kippie team. My love for fitness has made me expand my training skills to include the latest techniques including Pilates and Power Pilates with which I am certified to work with. My workouts are all about precise and controlled movements while maintaining proper alignment. If you have never attended a strength or kettlebell class please do not feel you cant take part."

"Despite on the skill or difficulty level of any class I teach it will be suitable for every level as there are modifications always available,  just like every instructor I work with the client’s needs, to encourage them and always include.I provide options whether you are a pure beginner or advanced."
