You Said, We Did

You may remember we sent out a members survey late last year. We truly value the information you provided. We are managing all the data and will be letting you know the findings of the survey through ‘You Said, We Did’ posts on social media and in newsletters.

The first ‘You Said, We Did’ concerns fitness classes. The survey suggested that members were looking for shorter (trial classes) in early January. Kippie has such a diverse range of classes that it can get quite confusing which would suit your ability. The ‘members’ day did just that and we have received excellent feedback from the day. We are considering adding further ‘members’ days over the next few months – watch this space.

One of the questions from the survey, also concerning classes, was ‘which class would you most like to see at Kippie’?

As you see from the graph (overleaf) Zumba and kids classes came out on top so – you guessed it we have added a Zumba Gold and Zumba class to our fitness schedule. The team are also discussing new fitness and activity classes for the young ones. During mid-term in February, we are considering adding further dance classes and a karaoke afternoon – we would love to hear your thoughts if you have any suggestions, please email nickycaldwell@kippielodge.co.uk.

Sports Breaking News

We are glad to report that work to install a new ventilation system into studio 3 will commence shortly. Due to the noise levels classes in studio 1 may be disrupted and some classes may move onto zoom for 1 week only. The ventilation system to be installed is a necessary requirement under COVID legislation. Once works have been carried out we will be delighted to introduce further classes onto our timetable in the meantime, please bear with us.

Adults Swimming Times

You may have already noticed that lane ropes are being used during adult-only sessions – these are being welcomed by swimmers. The lifeguards will advise you which lane you should be using. Please also be aware that ALL swimmers, irrespective of time, MUST book their swimming session either online or by calling 01224 734747.

First Carvery of 2022

Our first carvery of 2022 will take place on Sunday 23rd January so mark the date in your diary. We will be holding arts and crafts for the kids in the Balmoral Suite.

We look forward to seeing you there for some delicious food!

We have recently launched a new kids competition for local schools to get involved in and it’s going down a storm with over 9 local schools taking part! Started his journey in 2017 as a lifeguard. Over the years Scott progressed in to different disciplines including Les mills; RPM, Pump, Combat & Attack as well as Bootcamp and youth gym.

Mitchell Robb

ABS and Youth Activities

Mitch is 19 years old and recently passed his level 2 in sports coaching at college. Big Congrats to Him!
He is also currently studying for his Level 6 in Sports, Exercise and Science

Join him for Abs classes on a Monday night from 6pm to 6:30pm.
If your kids are budding Badminton players they can join Mitch between 2pm - 3pm in Studio 1.

WENDY GRAY

Aches & Pains Aqua

A fun session sprinkled with movement science. Exercising in a pool provides relief with pain and stiffness in the joints.

It is a great class if you are recovering from surgery or got arthritis.

You will be working at your own ability but quickly will see progression as the weeks progress.

The class takes place each week on Thursdays at 13.50 (1.50pm).

Go on, head to the pool and give it a try!

Latfiya has been covering fitness classes throughout Aberdeen since 2015 and we are delighted that she is taking four classes here at Kippie.

"I am super excited to be joining the Kippie team. My love for fitness has made me expand my training skills to include the latest techniques including Pilates and Power Pilates with which I am certified to work with. My workouts are all about precise and controlled movements while maintaining proper alignment. If you have never attended a strength or kettlebell class please do not feel you cant take part."

"Despite on the skill or difficulty level of any class I teach it will be suitable for every level as there are modifications always available,  just like every instructor I work with the client’s needs, to encourage them and always include.I provide options whether you are a pure beginner or advanced."
