Kippie COVID-19 UPDATE

As everyone is aware the importance of COVID-19 mitigation measures is as important as ever. It is imperative that we all follow the Scottish Governments updated recommendations. 

  • Please lateral flow test regularly, ideally prior to any visit to the Club. 
  • All members must either sign in via the track and trace QR codes or if visiting the sports complex scanning in via the door entry. 
  • Masks must be worn when moving around the Club. This includes between stations in the gym 
  • Please sanitise your hands and any equipment as you go. The Kippie team be redoubling their efforts and will be focusing on touch points throughout the Club. 
  • Please use the hand sanitisers and wipes provided. We will do our best to ensure that they are filled up, but in the unlikely event that you find one to be empty, please let a team member know immediately. 
  • When attending classes in Studio 1, we encourage you to use a one-way system in the equipment store. A Kippie team member will be on hand to offer assistance. 
  • We will be ensuring that the ventilation in the Lodge is adequate and therefore we may need to open more windows during busy times.  
  • If you experience any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, please do not visit the Club. 

The Club will be operating as normal in line with Government guidance and industry best practice. At this juncture we do not plan to reduce our Class capacity, however if the Government recommendations change, we will review this. We are reviewing our risk assessments as the Government publishes its recommendations and we will make any necessary modifications when required. For example, reintroducing the screens between tables in the bar restaurant.

Kids Classes

Block bookings, including Rugbytots, Karate, Gymnastics & Dance will not run for the 2 weeks over the festive period. 

LTS restarts from Sat 8th Jan 2022

Kids yoga and Youth Yoga will be on Mon 20th but off on Mon 27th Dec.

Golf Virtual Leagues

Trackman Virtual Golf Leagues coming soon!

Our Virtual Golf Leagues will start week commencing Monday 10th January and will run for 6 weeks.

Two players per team and £60 per player for the 6 weeks.

Timeslots available:

Wednesday 4-7pm

Thursday 4-8pm

Friday 4-9pm

Bookings open Monday 20th December. Please contact Reception on 01224 734747 to book and pay.

Creche Update

The Creche will be closed during school holidays and will reopen on Thursday 6th January.  Our Creche is available to let you make the most out of your membership. Go to the gym or take part in your favourite fitness class or simply relax in our Beauty salon. Either way, start 2022 by making time for you! The Creche offers a maximum of 2 hrs a day, please book in advance to avoid disappoint.

Physio Pilates block has now ended until w/c 10th January 2022.

Latest bootcamp update

Monday 6pm class will no longer take place on Tennis Court 3.  It will now take place on 5.45pm-6.30pm in Studio 1 from Monday 20th Dec until 31st Jan,

ABS class will be relocated to Squash Court for 2 classes 6pm-6.30pm and 6.40-7.10pm.

Thursday’s Bootcamp now on squash court until 3rd Feb, max 6 people. 

Friday’s Bootcamp has Tennis Court 3 and Studio 1 booked, new class time of 11.15am-12.15pm.

Mitch is 19 years old and recently passed his level 2 in sports coaching at college. Big Congrats to Him!
He is also currently studying for his Level 6 in Sports, Exercise and Science

Join him for Abs classes on a Monday night from 6pm to 6:30pm.
If your kids are budding Badminton players they can join Mitch between 2pm - 3pm in Studio 1.

Aches & Pains Aqua

A fun session sprinkled with movement science. Exercising in a pool provides relief with pain and stiffness in the joints.

It is a great class if you are recovering from surgery or got arthritis.

You will be working at your own ability but quickly will see progression as the weeks progress.

The class takes place each week on Thursdays at 13.50 (1.50pm).

Latfiya has been covering fitness classes throughout Aberdeen since 2015 and we are delighted that she is taking four classes here at Kippie.

"I am super excited to be joining the Kippie team. My love for fitness has made me expand my training skills to include the latest techniques including Pilates and Power Pilates with which I am certified to work with. My workouts are all about precise and controlled movements while maintaining proper alignment. If you have never attended a strength or kettlebell class please do not feel you cant take part."

"Despite on the skill or difficulty level of any class I teach it will be suitable for every level as there are modifications always available,  just like every instructor I work with the client’s needs, to encourage them and always include.I provide options whether you are a pure beginner or advanced."
