It’s officially the festive period and we are all getting so excited about all our events that are coming up. Tomorrow our christmas market runs from 10am – 2pm and we have breakfast with santa on Sunday!

Look who we found this morning! Someone’s Elves have decided to make Kippie their home for the next few weeks. Well, we do cater for everyone! As it’s Friday they have decided to kick off their membership in the bar – where else!!

Cash for Kids Christmas Appeal

A BIG thank you to those of you who have dropped off presents for Mission Christmas.

Please buy an extra gift for Mission Christmas if you can, and we’ll make sure that it gets to a disadvantaged child so they’ll wake up to something under the tree on Christmas morning. All gifts should be new and unwrapped, and you can drop them off at the Lodge and we will forward them onto Northsound. Find out more by clicking here. Thank you.

As from Monday the 6th December the sports complex door will be locked. You will therefore need to remember to bring along your membership card to gain access. Please remain to track and trace using our QR code.

News from the Complex:

Some class time changes

Nia will now be 8.25 am (5 minutes earlier) instead of 8.30 on Tuesday & Thursday mornings.

Body balance on Thursday next week will start at 11.15 am INSTEAD of 11.30 am in Studio 2.

Due to the adverse weather conditions, we are reviewing the outside Bootcamp classes and the schedule to try and accommodate an inside circuits class as an alternative for bad weather.  This may result in squash courts being used or slight adjustments to class times.  Thank you for your patience and support on this matter.  


Adjustments to Festive timetable- between 20th Dec- 2nd Jan; some classes are being removed please check for full details.

Others remaining on the timetable, please ensure to book/cancel as classes will be cancelled if less than 3 people booked to attend 2 hours before.

We will be holding a class taster session on Saturday 8th January. 30-minute classes will be available for you to try throughout the day. Kids’ art and fitness classes will also be on offer. Further information to follow.

A reminder out to all gym users about general gym etiquette. We have been having reports that younger members and their guests are not following gym etiquette. Please can we remind all members to sanitise their equipment after use. Put the equipment back where it belongs after use. Respect personal space. Remember – the gym team are there for any advice.

Changing Rooms/Vouchers

Changing rooms 1 and 4 are for adults only. Under the age of 8 years can use the family changing areas 2 & 3. Can we therefore ask that if you are visiting the club without children that you use the adult-only changing areas.

Mitchell Robb

ABS and Youth Activities

Mitch is 19 years old and recently passed his level 2 in sports coaching at college. Big Congrats to Him!
He is also currently studying for his Level 6 in Sports, Exercise and Science

Join him for Abs classes on a Monday night from 6pm to 6:30pm.
If your kids are budding Badminton players they can join Mitch between 2pm - 3pm in Studio 1.

Aches & Pains Aqua

A fun session sprinkled with movement science. Exercising in a pool provides relief with pain and stiffness in the joints.

It is a great class if you are recovering from surgery or got arthritis.

You will be working at your own ability but quickly will see progression as the weeks progress.

The class takes place each week on Thursdays at 13.50 (1.50pm).

Go on, head to the pool and give it a try!

Latfiya has been covering fitness classes throughout Aberdeen since 2015 and we are delighted that she is taking four classes here at Kippie.

"I am super excited to be joining the Kippie team. My love for fitness has made me expand my training skills to include the latest techniques including Pilates and Power Pilates with which I am certified to work with. My workouts are all about precise and controlled movements while maintaining proper alignment. If you have never attended a strength or kettlebell class please do not feel you cant take part."

"Despite on the skill or difficulty level of any class I teach it will be suitable for every level as there are modifications always available,  just like every instructor I work with the client’s needs, to encourage them and always include.I provide options whether you are a pure beginner or advanced."
