Members Open Day

Spaces remain in our junior Squash session for 11- 14 years at 4 pm – 4.40 pm on Saturday 8th Jan. Contact Reception for booking information.

It’s going to be a cracker of a Saturday with so many of you having booked into classes and activities. As there will be fitness classes running back to back we have decided, due to social distancing, to reinstate the one-way system to gain access into studio 1. So, on arrival, please make your way around the back of the complex and enter via the fire exit. If you have booked into a class in studio 2 and a class is in progress we have created a waiting area in studio 3 (pilates). This will save any congestion in corridors.

After the success of the last gym challenge, PT Mike Skene has come up with a corker to start the new year! Fastest time to complete all of the above. Once you have completed the challenge mark your name and time on the leader board – good luck!

Golf Bullseye Game

Come and take part in Keils Bullseye Game on Saturday 8th January from 12noon. If a queue has formed please keep to the back of the fence with a 1 metre distance between your fellow member.

Give it a go! No booking is necessary just make your way to the Driving Range from 12 noon on the 8th Jan. You won’t be disappointed! All ages welcome.

COVID procedures

Due to the Omicron variant of COVID 19 the government has issued new regulations for indoor sports: under current COVID guidelines, the playing of squash outwith one household is not allowed up until the 17th of January. If restrictions are eased from this date our mini leagues will restart. Junior play is currently permitted.

It is imperative that you follow these guidelines before your visit to Kippie.

Please remember to scan the QR codes located at each location as a means to track and trace.

  • Please lateral flow test regularly, ideally prior to any visit to the Club. 
  • All members must either sign in via the track and trace QR codes or if visiting the sports complex scanning in via the door entry. 
  • Masks must be worn when moving around the Club. This includes between stations in the gym 
  • Please sanitise your hands and any equipment as you go. The Kippie team be redoubling their efforts and will be focusing on touch points throughout the Club. 
  • Please use the hand sanitisers and wipes provided. We will do our best to ensure that they are filled up, but in the unlikely event that you find one to be empty, please let a team member know immediately. 
  • When attending classes in Studio 1, we encourage you to use a one-way system in the equipment store. A Kippie team member will be on hand to offer assistance. 
  • We will be ensuring that the ventilation in the Lodge is adequate and therefore we may need to open more windows during busy times.  
  • If you experience any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, please do not visit the Club. 

The Club will be operating as normal in line with Government guidance and industry best practices.

The Lodge

First Carvery of 2022

Our first carvery of 2022 will take place on Sunday 23rd January so mark the date in your diary. We will be holding arts and crafts for the kids in the Balmoral Suite.

Started his journey in 2017 as a lifeguard. Over the years Scott progressed in to different disciplines including Les mills; RPM, Pump, Combat & Attack as well as Bootcamp and youth gym.

Mitchell Robb

ABS and Youth Activities

Mitch is 19 years old and recently passed his level 2 in sports coaching at college. Big Congrats to Him!
He is also currently studying for his Level 6 in Sports, Exercise and Science

Join him for Abs classes on a Monday night from 6pm to 6:30pm.
If your kids are budding Badminton players they can join Mitch between 2pm - 3pm in Studio 1.

WENDY GRAY

Aches & Pains Aqua

A fun session sprinkled with movement science. Exercising in a pool provides relief with pain and stiffness in the joints.

It is a great class if you are recovering from surgery or got arthritis.

You will be working at your own ability but quickly will see progression as the weeks progress.

The class takes place each week on Thursdays at 13.50 (1.50pm).

Go on, head to the pool and give it a try!

Latfiya has been covering fitness classes throughout Aberdeen since 2015 and we are delighted that she is taking four classes here at Kippie.

"I am super excited to be joining the Kippie team. My love for fitness has made me expand my training skills to include the latest techniques including Pilates and Power Pilates with which I am certified to work with. My workouts are all about precise and controlled movements while maintaining proper alignment. If you have never attended a strength or kettlebell class please do not feel you cant take part."

"Despite on the skill or difficulty level of any class I teach it will be suitable for every level as there are modifications always available,  just like every instructor I work with the client’s needs, to encourage them and always include.I provide options whether you are a pure beginner or advanced."
