We are now in the final few weeks before our summer 2023 camp kicks off. We are delighted that you have chosen Kippie and we endevour to make this summer one to remember. Please take some time to download and complete our consent form which we will require one per child. These need to be returned the Wednesday the week before your child is due to attend.

You can also view the menu below to go over with your child. Please make sure you inform us of any dietary requirements.

Kippie Kids Summer Camp Important Information Document

If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact the Kippie Kids Camp Staff at kippiekidscamp@kippielodge.co.uk or Kippie Reception on 01224 734747.

1.    Camp running times

Summer Camp will run from 8.30am – 5.30pm. Depending on demand, there may be the option to book your children in for extended hours. Further information will follow if this becomes an option.

2.    Cancellations and Changes to a Booking

If you find the need to cancel your booking at Summer Camp, you MUST give notice up to 28 days in advance to receive a full refund. Cancellations up to 14 days in advance will receive a half refund. No shows, absences, and late cancellations will receive no refund.

It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to notify the Club of any changes to the booking.

3.    General Information & What to Bring

Children in groups 1 & 2 should be dropped off at the Creche between 8.30am and 9.30am. Children in groups 3,4,5 & 6 should be dropped off at the greenhouse. Please make sure you drop off within this window (unless you have let the Kids Camp staff know otherwise, as this allows plenty of time for activities to start).

The children will be provided with their morning snack mid-morning.

Lunch will be provided around 12.15pm.

Another snack will be provided mid-afternoon.

We ask that you do not bring any other food due to the vast variety of food allergies.

Camp staff will inform you of pick-up location when your child is dropped off. The pick up location is subject to change throughout the day as it is weather dependent. Any updates will be communicated to parents via the closed Facebook groups. Pick up time is between 4.30 and 5.30pm. Please note, a late fee does apply.

We are planning to do a variety of activities with the children such as arts and crafts, sports, and games. We will also take the children swimming! More details of this are below.

Your child/ren should bring the following items with them to Summer Camp:

·       A full change of clothes and shoes.

·       Waterproofs

·       Suncream (please ensure this is applied to your child in the morning before attending kids camp).

·       Sun hat

·       Water bottle

Please ensure you complete the attached consent form (1 per child) and return to Kippie Lodge no later than the Wednesday before your child will be attending Summer Camp. You can do this by replying to the email the consent form was sent to you from (kippiekidscamp@kippielodge.co.uk), or by handing a paper copy to Reception.

4.    Administration of Medicines

Should the Kippie Team be required to administer prescribed short term or long-term medication to your child, you MUST complete section 4 of the Consent Form.

Two staff members will be assigned responsibility for administering the prescribed medication to your child and you will be required to instruct them in the procedure for this.

Any medication must come in its original container along with the original information leaflet. If Calpol, we can only accept one sachet per child.

It is your responsibility to inform the Club or any changes to regular prescribed medication.

5.    Loss or Damage to Property

The Kippie Lodge Kids Camp team cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage to children’s property. Parents should ensure that children take care of their own belongings. No valuable items should be taken to Summer Camp.

6.    Swimming

We will be taking the children swimming in Kippie’s pool. The children will be swim tested by camp staff and lifeguards, and allocated a suitable section of the pool. The pool is 0.9m deep at the shallowest point.

It is essential that we have the correct information about your child’s swimming ability so that we can ensure their safety at all times. If your child requires armbands or other floatation devices, these MUST be provided and inflated before coming to camp.

If you have any concerns or questions about this, please speak to Camp Staff at the start of the day.

7.    Menu & Dietary Requirements

It is vital you declare any allergies or intolerances on your child’s consent form. It is essential the chefs and camp staff have this information so we can ensure the suitability of the menu for your child, as well as ensure their safety.

8.    Late Collections

If a child has not been collected by the end of the day, and the club has not been informed, there will be an additional £10 late fee to cover the presence of staff beyond 5.30pm. After 5.45pm, there will be an additional £5 per 10 minutes.

9.     Customer Comments

We always aim to provide our members with the highest possible service. We always value feedback so if you have any comments or suggestions, we would love to hear them!

Please speak to camp staff or reception to pass on any feedback. Alternatively, you can e-mail kippiekidscamp@kippielodge.co.uk.

We will send out a customer satisfaction survey accessible via the Facebook group.

10. Facebook Groups

To have efficient communication with all parents/guardians we have set up private Facebook groups that are accessible only to parents/guardians of the children who are attending that week. We will post updates and pictures from the week on there and they will be deleted at the end of Summer.

The link to these groups will be made available in the coming weeks – please keep an eye on Kippie’s Facebook Group.
